When removing the engine, it is important to secure and support it using a hydraulic hoist and suitable chains. Once secured, it can be placed on the overhauling stand using the appropriate tools. To reassemble, simply follow the numbered instructions and use suitable oversize thrust washers if necessary.
When removing the turbocharger, be sure to undo the bolts and remove the oil return pipe, oil supply pipe, and bracket. To access the crankcase, rotate it on the overhauling stand and remove it from the mounting brackets. Finally, remove the flywheel protection and unscrew the bolts to access the pistons, pins, and oil pump.
