Removing the Lower Fairings
The lower fairings can be removed without removing the upper fairings and the front fairing. Follow these steps:
Unscrew the 4 screws (A) fixing the lower fairing to the upper fairing
Unscrew one of the 2 lower screws (B) fixing the fairings together
Unscrew the screw (C) fixing the lower fairing to the front air scoop
Remove the lower fairing

Check the stanchions and sliders for any scoring or notches, and ensure they slide smoothly without excessive play.
