About Ford Tractors:

Ford Tractor history begins with Henry Ford, who started experimenting with gasoline engines around 1890. The first official Ford car, Model A, was introduced in 1903. In 1907, Henry built his first experimental work tractor and eventually created the Fordson brand to mass produce tractors. By 1920, the distribution of Fordson tractors shifted to the Ford Motor Company, leading to the production of many tractor models over the years.

The Early Tractors:

  • The Ford model 9N tractor was introduced in mid-year 1939 as a joint venture between Henry Ford and Harry Ferguson. It was commonly known as the Ford - Ferguson tractor.
  • The model 2N was produced between 1942 - 1947, featuring significant design changes due to wartime material shortages.
  • The model 8N, made between 1947 - 1952, marked the first major redesign since 1939, with various improvements and a new paint color.
  • The Ford Golden Jubilee NAA, produced from late 1952 through 1954, featured a more powerful engine and live hydraulics.
  • The one hundred series tractors, model 600 700 800 and 900, were manufactured from 1954 to 1957, introducing expanded line-up and improved features.
  • The one hundred and one series tractors, model 501 601 701 801 and 901, were made from 1957 to 1962, with increased horsepower and new options such as power steering.
  • The one thousand series tractors, model 2000 4000 and 6000, were produced from 1962 to 1964, featuring a restyled grille and various engine options.

These models were equipped with different engine types and were available in various styles to cater to agricultural needs, including row crop, offset, utility, orchard, light industrial, low center of gravity (LCG), and heavy-duty industrial.
