This 45-page manual provides step-by-step instructions and drawings to create the pictured lwb recumbent bike. It requires welding and some mechanical skills.

- Frame - Locate two old bikes from police auctions or garage sales. Look for aluminum components and bolt together cranks. You will need about 6 feet of 7/8 tubing for the lower frame and about 3.5 feet of 3/8 or 1/2 inch tubing for a cross brace.
- Wheel - It's best to buy a 20 (451mm) front wheel.
- Handlebars - Can be bent from 3/4 electrical conduit with a conduit bender, or purchased.
- Seat - Can be made with conduit and covered with mesh material, or purchased. Padded plywood seats are also an option.
